Never smoked.
It's disgusting.
Anyone who smokes when pregnant, is CRAZY!

That poor little baby, needs a fair start in life.
I have never smoked, but if I did, I would most definitely give up during pregnancy. I might be intent on killing myself but it is selfish to ruin things for the unborn baby.
I have never smoked so it is hard for me to imagine doing something so foolhardy whilst pregnant. Even back then, most people gave up smoking due to some innate knowledge that if it was a vice, it could harm the baby. How prophetic.

I am a smoker and gave up both times while pregnant but smoked after as it seemed to calm me down. Im trying to give it up again for the birth of my first grandchild. I need to be around but it is very difficult to break this dirty habit.
At least you're trying, nat_c. My mother gave up for eight years, and has started back up again.

Neither me nor my wife are smokers.
I am not a smoker, but everything in me says that I would stop if I was and pregnant. It just doesn't make much sense to me to smoke while pregnant.

I also have never smoked.I hate seeing pregnant girls smoking, & also seeing couples, smoking away, with a baby or small child in the pram, in front of them. I feel like pulling the cigarets from their months. I frown at them though, as I walk passed. I'm sure 1 of them is going to hit me over the head day! As my husband may say, "Mind your own business!"

I'm the same, miro_. Hate to say it, but I secretly judge those who smoke with babies closeby. That must be the definition of selfishness.

I did not give up smoking when I was pregnant, however if I was having children nowadays I probably would.

Finy.........Cigarette smoking hasn't changed, it's still NOT good for baby in womb.
There's just been more knowledge gained, about HOW harmful it is, in the intervening decades'.

Am not a 'smoker'.
Didn't drink alcohol from minus three months' falling pregnant, either.

Cigarette smoking, & drinking alcohol, by expectant women is probably one of THE most selfish actions' a female human can do, IMHO!
