My children and I take our rascally dogs for a walk every morning. We try and spot different wildlife and talk about what is going to happen during the day or debrief from the day before.
Before children I used to walk to clear my head in the quiet, but now there is constant chatter so I get up early and have a coffee before everyone gets up.
The dogs still enjoy their walk and tend to be less destructive than if we don't go. That said, on Monday I came home after school drop off to find bromeliads all around the yard and one cheeky dog looking quite pleased. That was after a great morning walk.
