Perhaps Rhett Butler, or Jack Reacher from Lee Child's books.

There are more that I can think of but question was ONE!

I have too many favourites! But I'm currently reading Doctor Sleep by Stephen King with is the sequel to The Shining which I loved. So I'm going to say Danny Torrence, I think he would be an interesting character to meet especially with his special powers.
I would like Gregory Peck (a hero of mine ) to come back to life....I read his biography. this is a book but think you mean fictional characters, so...perhaps the Gumnut kids!
by Fran
G.Peck was a lovely man :)
by jonaja
Yes, jonaj, he was! But he belted the s@&$ outta Charlton Heston in 'The Big Country' (1958). In 'real' life, they were friends' until Peck died.
by donjo
Fran, have you read Charlton Heston's autobiography, 'In the Arena'?
by donjo
No I haven't read it.....not as keen on him and wouldn't bother I don't think
by Fran
It's very interesting indeed. Have had the privilege of meeting him, & his lovely wife, Lydia, several times. He was very tall, & broad-shouldered, & a lovely man to meet. He was certainly handsome before the ravages of his various illnesses, got going, in his dotage. He died from pneumonia. RIP

I wonder if they managed to pry the gun out of his "cold, dead, hand"
by norma
Oh! norma, I consider what you said above very insulting, & if you meant it to be funny, it's fallen flat, with me. Have some respect.
Didn't YOUR husband die in recent times?

Mr Heston died with his wife of sixty-four years, his son, & daughter at his side, along with other members' of his family.
He was a 9th Generation American, hence his belief in the 2nd Amendment.

Go Norma ......

I can't choose one - I have had too many favourites

Tigger because his jubilance couldn't fail to life your spirits.
I know what you mean :)
by jonaja
That's too hard! But if I had to choose, it would probably be one of the characters from one of the books we used to read to the kids.
He is alive of course in heaven...lol. :)

But because I love the Bible, and the people He had to deal with.
He is always my first choice, love to see what He really looks like!
Harry Potter!
'Pie' from 'National Velvet'. He's a horse!
It would Sherlock Holmes, and I would be his understudy.

Alice, from Alice in Wonderland. It would be very interesting.

That's hard. Just one??? Maybe Phryne Fisher.
I'd really like to bring Jan Karon's whole town of Mitford to life.
Mao, from Mao's last dance, I'd love to see him dance, even tho I'm not really not into ballet, but he's not too bad on the eyes.
