It's important to show our love for people in both words AND actions. I don't think either is more important because without a good balance they are both lacking.
Actions speak louder than words is the old saying!

Plus the odd I love you and your on a winner. :)
Actions speak louder than words. My partner and I never really said "I love you" to each other until the day our first child was born - 5 years after we started seeing each other!! But we did numerous things which left us both feeling assured that we loved each other.
Do, for the sake of love, do! Somebody I know says it all the time, but (although you know it) you have a difficult time believing it because of the way this person can behave. Scary and intimidating. That is all.

I don't think people have to 'prove' love to demonstrate you love someone, but actions do speak louder than words. Many people say I love you, but it's the enduring friendship, gestures of kindness and respect that bring these words to life. I know couples who don't talk about their feelings much as it's just not their nature, but these are two people who do so much for each other and it's all these little things that show they care.
Both are important. Depends on what your loved one prefers, methinks.
Actions speak louder than words. You can say it all the time and then do things that don't convey it.
Show and tell I believe but I prefer to be shown more than i am told.

I'd rather be shown but it is nice to be told too.

do
Both. Actions are of course more important. However the verbal reassurance is sometime necessary
