How often do you water your house plants? Do you believe in little and often or a deluge once in a blue moon?

Well I only have herbs and water them every so often. Luckily they are still alive...because I can over water them which caused them to perish! :(
I have an african violet in the house, everything else is outdoors. African violets only need a teaspoon of water once a week, and therein lies my answer!

Your question reminded me that I need to get some fertiliser for it!
I try to water once once a week but I fail sometimes. And we have a rubber tree in our conservatory that needs watering far more often than this! I quite often sit there looking at it, thinking "I should be watering you!" then get up to do it and on the way to the kitchen get distracted and forget. Our other plants seem to thrive on neglect (carefully chosen you might say....).
It depends on the plant. Succulents don't need watering as often. I have a fern in the bathroom that I give a little mist every day.
Some every day some every other day. I tend to over water sometimes then they rot and die.

I don't have any plants inside the house, unless I have some kitchen scraps sprouting in the bench waiting to go in the garden! My vegie patch gets watered every day though.
No plants inside :(
Just outside.
We only have outdoor plants. I get my husband to water these once every 1 or 2 months, hoping it's going to rain in the meantime! They really only need watering in the summer.as they seem to survive the rest of the time.

This all depends on the season and the weather. I have a lot of cacti which do not need much watering.
