Another how often question!
I wash them about once a week or the hand towels when they are dirty - could be more often than once a week.
It depends on the weather as I do not wash if it rains. I hang towels up in the fresh air, and for the last bit I dry them in the dryer as my towels are always hard as a rock - must buy new ones!

I wash 5-6 times a week, about 2 loads on the day.

Nothing is left long.

Bath Mat's are the only thing that is washed every 4-5 days.
gosh, that is a lot Jonaj!
by Finy
Tell me about it...lol
But we just seem to go thru a lot of clothes, etc.....

I change the hand towels whenever they feel wet, so every couple of days. Bath mats get done once a week with the towels.
I am going to complain to the Ombudsman . . . Finy keeps stealing my answers! Who would have thought should a sweet lady could be a serial offender. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!

oh dear...lock me up then....but who would write the questions? or would Rice donate a computer in jail?
by Finy
Oh, all right, I'll steal a computer and join you in jail and we can think up the world's wackiest questions. Heehee.

Hey, Rice - that sounds more exciting than my current life!!!

All my towels are washed once a week on a Friday. Bathmats are done as required. I like the house looking nice for the weekend in case people call in. I prefer not to clean on weekends, though sometimes I have to clean on Saturdays
What Jennifer said.

Come to the Ombudsman with me, Vee, we can hold hands.

Hahahaha! At first, I was confused by your comment, then I read your response. To be honest...I was being lazy, so was quite pleased to see Jennifer had 'stolen' my answer. LOL!

I do the towels, laundry, etc. twice a week. The laundry I do is usually 2-3 loads.
My one kitchen hand towel s washed every second day.

Bath mats are nonslip rubber, so get aired only, everyday.
I think I wash them as soon as they start to smell a little funky. Maybe once a week.
Towels are something which I HAVE to have nice and fresh!!! I just hate that damp and awful smell which they can acquire so rapidly, especially in the tropics, so I wash them twice a week as a rule!
I own so many gorgeous fluffy towels, but this does not mean that I should leave them to pile up before washing them!!! It is so easy to simply throw them into the machine and wash them as soon as they need it! Aaaah! The luxury of fresh linen!!!!!!
how do you keep them soft? do you put them always in the dryer -they do not dry as well I find if done totally in the dryer?
by Finy
I like my towels when they are mainly breeze-outside dried!!! Then I will sometimes throw them in the dryer for just a few minutes which softens them up a little bit more than just being outdoors.I actually don't like them too soft as I like the massage effect of the very slightly stiffer surface! .

Once a week usually, but change them more frequently when there are visitors or if they need it.
We have two hanging in each bathroom and two in the kitchen so they don't usually get a lot of use before getting washed.
Towels and any laundry is a once a week chore. Although the buildup of things to be washed is quite high and does take a few hours - but then I can intertwine all the other household chores I need to do. Chore day is usually a Saturday and split between my husband and I. Bath mats are less regular perhaps once a month (I know it sounds disgusting) but we hang the bath mat to dry and air every day - preferably outside and in the sun.
Two to three days, sooner if they get grubby (bath mats).

Hand towels I wash every Saturday and there are usually 10 of them.
Bath towels 2 each, and I change them every 2nd. day.
There are only 2 of us in the house, so it is easy for me but I would hate to be doing the laundry for say 2-3 kids as well.
Each time I change my towels (every second day) I change the hand towels and bathmat at the same time. I wash towels once a week. As I live alone I only have 3 bath towels, handtowels and bath mats every week, along with cleaning cloths, teatowels and kitchen hand towels.
Once a week, for the 3 hand towels, & the 4 bath towels just go into the next dark or light wash, but I change them once a week, the day I change our sheets!
