I go to the hairdresser roughly every 6 to 8 weeks as I have short hair.
My hair is very thin and looks awful if I try to grow it long so six weeks is an ideal time for me, though usually it turns into 8 having better things to do!
My hair grows very quickly so I have to cut it every 4 to 5 weeks, but can stretch it to 6 if I don't have the time to get it done. I have medium length curly hair. If I don't cut it, it gets very hard to style. The weight of the hair on the curl pulls the curl down so that it is almost straight. As soon as it gets cut, the curls bounce back up again.
It was half way down my back about 3 months ago, but then I changed my mind, how I was going to keep doing a 'up-do', most days...Lot of work!
So I get Mr 25 yr old who lives with me....to cut across the bottom of my hair (but say 10cm's....4inches up) So it would be a 'bit' shorter.
I just remember thinking as I looked on the floor at ALL that hair ''keep smiling'' .Maybe he did cut it more than I wanted...
He went away with a happy smile on his face, and I was left to pick up my lock's of hair.
Why did I ask him to cut my hair?
He has little confidence in some things, and I just wanted to show him he can do some things. That I do trust him, even with scissors.
I'm happy now with the new hair do, and length, its so much better to manage :)
Once a month. It's very short but gets really thick and heavy . . if I get to five weeks I am nearly up the wall. I must have a lot of keratin because my finger nails and toe nails grow quickly too. (they drive me nuts as well.)
I have shoulder leanth hair, & I have it cut 4 times a year, but sometimes sooner, if I happen to be going to a wedding or on a cruise! (So that means VERY rarely do I have it cut, less than every 12 weeks!)
My last salon hair cut was around 12 years ago. My hair is long enough for me to tip over forwards and trim straight across. The reason is my hair is long and looks straight and when i asked a hairdresser to give me a nice fringe she pulled my hair down and cut. Well i ended up with a weird row of curls 1/2 way between my eyes and my hairline. Never again.
Maybe it's just me but, it's been almost three years since I have been to a hair dresser and gotten my hair done AT ALL. I just shampoo and condition that's it! Maybe I should start taking better care of my hair.....
Pretty sure that it's been 2 years since I went to the hairdressers. Before I had children I used to get my hair cut (and sometimes coloured) very 6 - 8 months or so. Since having children I just find that I don't have the time or money to dedicate to sitting in a chair getting my hair done for an hour. I would rather spend the time and money getting a massage!
