An Oroton handbag in desperate need of a clean, with Oroton cleaning products shown herein.
When you buy a handbag (especially fabric), you're usually advised by the relevant retailer to give the outside areas a thorough shampoo, prior to using for the first time. What tools of the trade do you use? How often do you give your handbag a clean? Once a week? Less frequently? Or when it's in need of a clean, like the Oroton handbag pictured above?
Agree. I know I should clean mine more often, yet only when traces of dirt are evident, and this is when my second rate Oroton gets a clean. Otherwise, my Louis Vuitton gets cleaned professionally once every few months, although that is still not often.
I only seem to clean mine properly when I reach in, try to find something, and feel grit under my nails. I'm always using different handbags though, so loose track of which one's clean, though each time I transfer my stuff between them I do give the a quick emptying (of cards, receipts and anything else that's built up in there).
I use a pocket belt rather than a handbag as such and I have never cleaned it so far, though now that you mention it I should. It's made of stiff canvas fabric (like army surplus stuff) so I think it could probably just go through the washing machine, though I will have to make sure I clean out all the pockets first. Tissues are bad enough, but have you ever had a lipstick go through the wash? Not good.
