I could have had 2 weeks off as our shops close normally till the 12th January, however myself and another volunteer wanted to sort the shop our so we are working most days and opening the shop a week earlier than our other branches.
There are several of us who live alone and enjoy the work more than staying home for 2 weeks!
Actually, this indicates to me that you DO have a life!!! Oh! What I would give to be able to still go to work!!! But you know the old saying....As one door shuts, another one(or several) will open for us.It is just a matter of going through, which I ALWAYS get lots of enjoyment from, even though they are not REAL doors!! Enjoy every minute of your very excellent life!
I no longer work, but when I did,I always took the shortest break possible as I really adored working. Also the ownwers of the business had young children at the time, and having already been through that situation when my own son was young,I really preferred to know that they were all enjoying a truly super Family break together while I was enjoying NOT having one alone!
My husband is retired but I have the days between Christmas and New Year off from work. It seemed a long time at the start when I added it up with weekends and public holidays but it is disappearing in a blink. We did a day trip yesterday and I think we should get in a couple more, it would be a shame to waste the time.
