I do not move often, however moved about 4 years ago from semi rural and 5 acres back to the City.
It is a horrific thing to do on your own so I had most of it packed by professionals as have a back problem....it was difficult leaving all that land and I had to sell or give to good homes, all the animals I had on this delightful property.
However, I am now settled into an easier life!
It is said that moving is one of the stressful things in life....
When I was married, almost 30 years ago, I moved from my parents house to my current house. We like the area, it is close to amenities so see no need to move. Our kids grew up here. The only valid reason I would have for moving would be for work. I like it here and can't think of anywhere better to go.
Well truth be told this last move was my longest and still is, in the same house.10 years!
But we are really wanting to move now, BIG TIME.
I have always moved, every 3-5 years.
The change is wonderful, and I have no idea how people can stay in the same house, year after year.
I have only ever lived in one house that I COULD live there for a life time...but now at 2.8 million dollars, I will never get it back.
I lived in it in 1963, it was a dream home.
This is the view from the house.
I last moved in September 1988 when my son was almost 3! I am a real home body and I doubt that I will move again until I make my final one!!! I am extremely fortunate to live in an old and delightfully quiet area of Townsville where I have the most wonderful neighbours in the world.Life is cheerful and relaxed here all the time and I feel extremely blessed to be so happy in my home!
35 years since I moved back into the house I grew up in. I first moved here in 1963 ish when I was two. I moved out for 5 years and moved back with my husband . We bought the home from my parents in 1983. Every now and then I daydream about living elsewhere and I suppose the time will come that it is too much to look after.
