My all time favourite is oysters natural having had the opportunity to taste oysters fresh from the sea. Full of flavour with the bite of sea salt that just hits your taste buds. Many like them with different sauces, hot or cold.
Do you mean Coffin Bay (Ceduna is further up the coast towards the Great Australian Bight). My friends are Coffin Bay oyster farmers and I have to say their oysters are the best I've ever tasted. I did have the luxury of eating them fresh from harvest but still I still think they are the best and vasty superior to the rock oysters of the east. Hope you get to enjoy again soon. So very good for us.
natural, cold but not icy cold as I think it interferes with the flavour. A little black pepper and only just maybe a squeeze of lemon. A little bread and butter. And, a dozen is only just a starter for me. Can easy do 36 on my own. Sydney rock oysters are the best in the world but I don't know if they are even available anymore.
Any way! Love 'em!
Really enjoy 'Oysters Rockefeller' if they on a menu where I'm dining. Don't see them that often, unfortunately! They're just 'different'. First tried them at Mandarin Hotel, Singapore, in its' Cordon Bleu restaurant. Am now hooked!
