Sometimes it can be difficult to resolve an issue or get closure because things are swept under the rug, so to speak.

Does it bother you when people do this?

How do you handle this kind of situation?

It is far better to bring troublesome issues out, so they can be dealt with. Denial may feel good at the time, but these things can fester and turn toxic!
It bothers me when people sweep things under the rug without at least first addressing them, and I'm not sure how to go about bringing them up because I don't like confrontation. I can confront my husband, but I'm not good at confronting others.

Oh, dear me, Vee I am exactly the same. I hate confrontation and if it gets swept under the carpet, that's where it stays. It is so much easier to deal with things as they happen . . . . where do all these "carpet sweeper underers" come from?!

I believe that is a question for the ages, Rice. A question for the ages, lol.

I'm not good at confrontation but I think it is important to get things properly resolved, so I do confront people when they try to sweep things under the rug. Otherwise, it will just explode at a later date and do far more damage then.
Makes me crazy!!! I understand the things can be hard to deal with, but there's really no excuse to ignore important things.
It is probably not my business!

If it is not me doing it then while it may annoy me, it is really not up to me to do anything about it.

I would probably mention it but it all depends who the person is.

What if the business that's being swept under the rug involves you, Finy?

I'm ashamed to admit that I'm one of the worst offenders at this. I've never been good at fronting up to people about an awkward situation, so I try to ignore it and hope it goes away....it never does, though, and it inevitably escalates to something much bigger.
That they're cowards & gutless.
They don't want to face up to their responsibilities.
Can't stand that type of snivelling person!
Stay right away from them I do.
