Many times I've had situations where I've blurted out lots of bad things when I get angry and later regret it.
I have tried out some ways to control my anger and the best way, I feel, is to find excuses for my opponent--whether they deserve it or not. It's always good to try and think of something from someone else's perspective.
Do you think it's important to express everything in your heart in times of anger? How do you control your anger? Do you believe the saying 'words, once spoken, cannot be retrieved'?
I do believe some things cannot be 'unsaid', so when I feel angry or as if I may say something that I might regret, I walk away and spend some time alone to cool off. Going for a walk, patting the cat or having a shower usually does the trick.
If you know to drive, grab your keys and get into your car.Drive safely with your favorite music and go as far as you want .Return only when you cool down.
Grab your phone and wallet on your way out. What if you want to drive thru a KFC or make a phone call to your best friend to whine?
Go ahead get angry, its ok.Your loved ones will love you for who you are.
As a Christian, I believe in what it tells me in my Bible.
So I believe that things spoken,in anger I will one day have to account for them.In fact, for anything bad said.
For that reason, because I believe in my heart what my Bible says.....It helps me greatly, to remember that I have to be a decent person to others. It's not easy, and we are only human.....but I don't want to hurt people, and having to be accountable one day, makes me want to be the best I can.
I have a short temper, so have a tendency to snap at people. The best way I have of controlling it (or rather, not letting it out on other people), is to go to my room and let of steam there. It gives me a chance to calm down.
