Met through work. He was working in one of our southern offices, I went down for a meeting. Went for drinks after work with lots of people in the office, but I think he (hubby) was the only person I chatted to. I was surprised how much we had in common and it was one of those occasions where you know you'll run out of time before you run out of conversation.
He's not been able to shut me up since.
By accident!....out of the blue, and through as friend.
I was in a accident with his cousin, and was asked if I would like to meet him.
I said o.k. and we hit it off straight away. Some time later...

I met my husband by internet dating
At a cricket match.
We had an arranged marriage - arranged by our families.
Funnily enough we met through his then girlfriend who I had been friends with in primary school. Fortunately for hubby and me, they didn't work out.

My sister in law invited me to a work do she was going to. I met him there and chatted away for hours. He was her boss at the time, which makes for funny family stories at Christmas time!
At a work function.
At a singles dinner party many years ago.

I met my husband when we went to the same youth group. I was 19. I had my license but ni car. President of the group asked him if he would drive me to meetings as he lived in the same suburb. Rest is history. Even when I did get a car, he still offered to drive me.
At a Bushwalking Club Meeting.

He was a 'Guest', at that month's meeting, & I had only become a Member the month before!

Fate?
At work. We became friends and later married.
I have kept every letter, notes and cards he gave me. It's been 33 years this past May.
I met my husband (to be), Jan 21, '64 @ 6.45pm. His brother was driving the car, & they saw me walking (home) for the bus-stop, so they called out, "What's your name?" I kept walking, as I'd been told not to talk to strangers! They turned the car around & met me further down the road, next to the shop. I spoke to them through the car window. When they told me where they lived, I happened to walk past their house, on my way home 1 week-end, in May, from the beach. He was sitting on the fence, & he said, "Come in & met my mum" Which I did, & we married 5 years & 1 month later. Why then? because I had to find a Saturday which was the 21st of a month! The wedding was 47 years & 3 months ago, this month, as I write this.
