Orthorexia is a newly named eating disorder where sufferers eat extremely healthy food - depending entirely on their beliefs about health - and become extremely anxious at the thought of eating foods that aren't on their "ok" list. Their food rules become so restrictive that they interrupt their lives significantly, making it impossible to live normally.
I've heard of it, my daughter is currently suffering from it. It's one of the disorders that frequently develop in anorexic people when they are on their road to recovery, it's a relapse, and it can be almost as dangerous as anorexia, and it can also turn into anorexia quite quickly.
I have never heard of it . But it seems something that might affect the young generation who aspire to look like models these days. I don't know why are those skeleton looking girls picked up as model anyways. It sends a very bad message to young girls.
