Antibiotic overuse is becoming an increasing threat to health. There are some good natural alternatives like garlic, colloidal silver, vitamin c, and olive leaf extract. Have you ever tried these? Did they work?
All the time !
I hate taking medicines at a very early stage of falling sick. For cold, this is what they say ' If you take medicine, it would be cured in one week, else it would take 7 days.' I try things like turmeric milk , ginger soup, traditional home made herbal tea with cloves, peppercorns etc. Gargles with salt water always help with throat infections. For minor fever, there are lot of natural things that can be done , externally to reduce fever. One of them is putting a few slices of onion in your socks then slipping them on. But if is not mild, I would surely talk to a doctor. Then I can do these additional external things in addition to antibiotics.
I haven't tried anything as an alternative to antibiotics, but I have tried things in addition to them or as a preventative measure. I cook with a lot of garlic and use lemon where I can. I also try to keep hydrated, moving and rested. As the old cliche goes, prevention is the best cure.
