That is how I thought of this question , looking at the hotels at Surfer's Paradise. That must have been awesome Jonaj !! I don't even want to start thinking about your house at the beach , heavenly !!
It is nice however it is not really important to me as I do not spend a lot of time in the hotel room.
Though on saying that, it is really nice to come home in the afternoon or evening, and be able to just look at a relaxing view, however do not know if I would still pay a lot extra for this privilege that would only be used twice a day.
I have not stayed in an ocean view room so far. I would really love to but they are so expensive compared to standard rooms . I am always confused if it is worth it spending so much money on view when you will be out of hotel most of the time.
My parents' Palm Beach house, had a magnificent view of the ocean.
I enjoyed my view, especially at sunset, at the Suva Travelodge.
Stayed in a Suite for a week at Hayman Island, looking straight down the Whisunday Passage.
The view from my Lounge Room, & Verandah was just magical!
Spent a month on Yule Island, Gulf of Papua, being surrounded by the ocean, & circumnavigated it in a magnificent yacht!
Same when I stayed at Wewak. Could see out to Kairiru Island. Moem Beach with golden sands.
Have had views over various Rivers', too.....the Nile, the Danube, the Murray. & a few rivers' in Spain, & UK.
I find those kinds' of water views' very relaxing, but really don't want to go on an ocean cruise.
Bucket list has 'Rhine River Cruise', & 'Alaska Pssage' cruise, on it!
