Sometimes. While I try to eat properly whenever possible, often I have to skip breakfast or lunch if I have a deadline or if there is an emergency at work. Still, if I'm honest, I don't think it is really worth it to skip a meal and then get too tired to work well.
Missing the odd meal here and there is not as bad as you think?
We eat way too much, and the food we do eat is not always the best.
Sometimes, our bodies need that rest from food.
Yes you do need fuel, but fasting is also one of the many things good for the body.
If you miss a meal here and there, we all have enough to keep us going.
It is not a situation....the key is not to overeat, when you do connect again with food.Make sure you have a apple always with you, so that can help until
you can have a meal.
If you miss more than 2 meals in a row, then you must carry fruit with you.
It takes 5 mins to eat a banana & apple.
I don't skip meals at such when I have to go in the office at the mainstream media client two days a week. I am constantly eating at my desk. It is not healthy. Think I eat better when travelling interstate for them. Even if I am out and about having fun, for lunch I'd still have a smoothie on the go. I just eat lots of smaller meals than three larger ones. Doing a juice fast now - post festive detox.
Yes, at various times for various reasons. It was never good, but often not deliberate. For example, at one point at uni I had a stupid schedule where I had to a class from 10 to twelve and another from 12 to 2, and the rooms they were held in were so far apart (separate campuses with a shopping centre and residential area in between them) I almost had to literally run from one to the other so as not to be late for class, so I was lucky if I managed to have a bite of an apple or a chocolate something on the way. Then I would have a massive sugar crash in the middle of the second class and not be able to think, which was fabulous when I had an in class exam. I really can't function properly when I haven't eaten so it's not worth it.
Then as a new mum with a cluster feeding breastfed newborn it can be hard to stop to eat a proper meal, but I used to try and graze on whatever was closest and could be eaten with one hand (crackers, a bit of capsicum).
I try never to skip meals any more because I get really cranky when my blood sugar's low and it's not fair to snap at my kids just because I haven't eaten. It's especially important while breastfeeding and burning all those extra calories making milk.
My mum does and it is so bad for your body to get used to as the habit makes it hard to introduce a regular diet of 3 proper meals a day. She takes work more seriously than herself and this is not the way to go!
No, that is something I would not do as I love my food too much.
Only on very rare occasions, and I cannot think when the last one was, would I ever skip a meal.
I eat because it is time to eat and not because I am hungry -bad habit.
