No this is something I have not done, feel I should have done it at some stage....there is still time but with my back problam...I would prob end up sitting on the pavement looking like a homeless person!
Yes, we did a lot of this as a family when we were young. We raised money for several charities - Asthma Research and the local Wildlife Trust leap to mind - it was all part of my parents' philosophy that you should help wherever you can. I am trying to bring up my son with the same philosophy as I think it is important. Shaking the tin is not just about collecting money but also about raising awareness - quite often we would chat to people about why we were raising money, even if they didn't donate anything.
Healthwise, this isn't an option for me any more but I help various charities in other ways still :)
Yes,I have done this on many occasions for many great causes,I first did it when in the Guides(for the War Veterans Homes and have never had any qualms at all about it.Raising money for others in meed is very good for the soul!!!
