LOVE that game. I used to play with my grandmother and we enjoyed it so much that if it was only the two of us, we would use three "houses" each and have all the pegs in play. I am trying to teach it to my kids, but they don't seem to be that interested.
We used to play it a lot when we were little, I associate it with my Grandma for some reason though I'm not sure if we ever played it with her! Maybe it was her set we used?
I'm not actually a huge fan of playing games so haven't played it since leaving home but maybe it's time to invest in one to teach my son. He's just learning how to play board games and is VERY competitive....
I know we used to play this with my grandparents but I can't for the life of me remember the rules. Their board was an inset in a cadboard box and the tokens were round balls. I recall they were made of a chalky substance and many of them had lost their coatings. It didn't matter we played with them still. In those days nothing got thrown away if it could still be used.
Yes! Loved it & still do! Only use game with 'marble' pieces, not pegs! Other games still enjoyed: Dominoes, Scrabble. My Grandmother taught me many types of games, including card ones.
These days, kids' prefer to play on computers! I've the above three games loaded on mine.....
My brother and I used to play it sitting on the floor in front of the coke fire. Can't remember the rules now but we often played board games as we were in a generation brought up on playing games to keep occupied.
