I used to all the time when I was a child, but rarely do it these days, as I'm so busy with other stuff. I'm trying to avoid too much sugar so there's not a lot of cakes at our place at all...cooked or not. I remember it was a real treat, though, when my Mum let me scrape the bowl...I can understand that some people would be tempted!
I love cake mix, and although I have never made a batch and just eaten the mix, I have felt sorely tempted. hen making cup cakes, however, I sometimes leave more 'leftovers' than can strictly be considered leftovers, for additional bowl licking.
No, but always enjoyed 'licking the bowl', once mixture into baking tin.
This question reminds me of a family whose son had Praeder-Willi Syndrome. He would eat ANYTHING, & that included dry flour. All kitchen cupboards & 'fridge had to be padlocked. Poor boy, he died at 16.
