Have you ever heard of the potato weight loss diet?

In this diet you eat nothing but potatoes to lose weight. No protein or vegetables and drink only water.

diet.
Sounds rather strange.. Radical diets can not be a good thing.
Someone actually did this for a year. He lost a lot of weight. I wonder how he will do now that its done.
Yes, I also saw the story on the tv news, recently. imagine, a WHOLE 12 months, of only eating potatoes! Are they photos of the man who did the potato diet, dwatk?

I hadn't heard of it before. That sounds like a very bad idea. How long do you do it for? If you did it for too long you'd be risking vitamin deficiencies, possibly scurvy. Not to mention how boring it would be! Potatoes do contain protein though (pretty much all food does), just not a lot by weight.
Well, I remember hearing about the man who lost a lot of weight by eating only potatoes.I can't believe what some people will do for a bit of publicity.
I think I'd never eat another potato in my life if I did this diet. No thanks. I like my food too much. I recall watching a interview with the chap who did this diet and he looked okay. Must have had great willpower.

I could live on potatoes . . . but as a diabetic I would die. . . .oh, how I love them. I can't see how a potato diet would work. Sounds nuts. Wonderful, . . .but nuts.
