Once I did it myself.
The house was empty.
So went a few days before we were to move in.
You should have seen the little bugs that the products caught. We also did a spraying of the grass outside, as it was long and the person before us....had a dog. After that all good....I think it would now cost to do a really good job, yourself over $100 from the supermarket .But not advised to go into the house for at least I would say 48 hrs.Open all windows, and clean...clean...clean.I also wore a face mask, as the smell was a tad around, and it is dangerous. We still didn't move in that day, gave it sometime to settle down.
I have had my place done for Fleas when I first moved in as they were so shocking that I had to put my poor Fur Babies in a kennel for A WEEK, so I could get the place clean enough for them !! The dreadful thing is that the previous owner owned a Pet Supply store so why could he not treat the house when he moved out?!!!!! This treatment I had done also got rid of all other critters I could imagine, including Cockroaches!.I have had it done a few times since buying this property in '88,but only when the bugs have been extremely bad which is not often at all.I have also used the bomb packs from the supermarket which I find to be brilliant in this house!!
I think that when we own pets,it is very important to keep them as comfortable as we wish to be ourselves. The Flea treatments up here in Nth Qld seem to do EVERY thing,so I have not had a specific 'spider' treatment done.
sort of ..... Our (then) building in South Yarra had to be evacuated for 24 hrs in order to Bug Bomb every unit and all accessory rooms/laundries etc., after evicted tenants (found operating an illegal take-away asian food business from their 2 bedrm flat) left piles of rubbish and many thousands of cockroaches looking for more food!
