WOW!What a question! I could both take it and reply to it in several ways!!!
YES!!! I sleep with 3 animals in my bed every single night!! But they are not horrid critters at all, just my darling, sweet, cuddly, loyal, gorGeous DOGS!!!! In fact, they are far better company than my ex husband who could truly have also been referred to as an animal ,but not a very nice it,so it turned out!!!
Once when I was living in a pretty dodgy rental house I woke to find several dozen baby cockroaches in my sheets/crawling on my legs. I'm not normally afraid of cockroaches but this really freaked me out and I had nightmares about it afterwards.
Also had the 'up north scenario'....Port Hedland...ghastly place in the 70's, had a marriage breakup there. Went to make our bed and a cockroach crawled out.. yuk....we used to whistle down the passage if we got up at night to scare them away..you could hear the scratching of them running out of the way!
Was camping at a Station property. Woke up, looked up to tent end wall, to see a Huntsman Spider the size of my hand there!
Now I normally don't have a problem at home with Huntsman's, but one this size in very close proximity to my face is a different situation!
So I quietly leaned towards husband, whispering in his shell-like ear sweet information re: intruder. So we backed out of tent as quietly & quickly as possible. Glad nobody taking outside photos' of said 'exit'!
Hubby then got a tea-towel & went to end of tent, opening flap gently, picked up arachnid & walked him some distance away to deposit him further 'up scrub'!
Yes and no. I woke up one night to feel something cold on my leg, totally freaked out, ran for the hills, came back and realised it was a poor frightened gecko. After I ran I realised it was not scratchy and insecty so I went back to see if he was okay. They are just so cute.
