Sometimes hairdressers don't always listen to us when we explain what kind of style we want. It is not so bad when it is only a trim, however, it's much worse if too much is cut off.. they can't exactly glue it back on!
It can leave you feeling quite upset and self-conscious that everyone is staring at you.
Have you ever had a bad experience at the hair salon?
No I don't think I have -I have short hair as my hair is so thin that there is not a lot they can do wrong.
The only thing that happened to me was -I have a red stripe down one long side of my hair (other side is short) and I washed it with olive oil soap and it gradually went orange! The hairdressed almost fainted when I walked in but they made investigations and olive oil strips the colour from the hair, so this was not really her fault but mine.
Probably, not having my hair cut the way I want it!
I was 13 when my Mother opened a Hair Dressing Salon. Until I was 23 & it was sold, my hair was cut perfectly to my wishes!
Then found a good hairdresser in the City, who just happened to be the sister of a girl who was in my class at School! She cut it properly for me.
Then when house was built in new Estate, a little Shopping Centre opened at entrance to Estate, & I went there. That was 1978. That actual hairdresser is still looking after my hair! She's 'freelance' now & comes to house, & all get 'done' at one time!
Must be some kind of record having same person for nigh on 37 years'!
