Have you ever bought shoes online, that is, without first trying them on?

Were they much cheaper, and did they fit you when they arrived?

I bought about 12 pairs.

About 5 did not fit me -I also bought 4 pairs of Birkenstocks for the price I would have paid for one. I did go first and try on at a shop to find out my exact size, and of course these fitted me.

However will probably not buy again unless I know the brand and know exactly what size to get.

I like the idea of buying shoes online as it can be cheaper but am put off by the idea of ordering the wrong size.
No,I always buy my very comfortable and well-fitting shoes/footwear from my chemist which stocks a wonderful range from several suppliers.
Yes, but only after being to the shop to try on the shoes, found the right size and noted the style. The specials were on-line, but not in the shop.
Except for that one-ff instance, buying clothing/shoes on-line has never worked for me - nothing fits, the fabric is horrible, usually buttons don't do up, and if in a shop, I would not have considered purchase. The returns have cost a small fortune to send, after having carted them to a Post Office (few & far between), then I've had to fight for refunds. Sometimes the company demands getting Authorisation numbers and sending by Registered Mail - only to declare they bever received the returns. So no refunds, out of pocket for large mail costs and no items either. Buy local - it's safer & usually cheaper.

I have bought shoes online 4 times. 3 pairs fit perfectly, the fourth didn't. It's a gamble so I wouldn't do it if the cost more than $5-$10, unless it's a brand I know well like Doc Martens (I bought a pair that were exactly the same as my old ones).
Oh my gosh Finy! I bought that exact same pair! And although they are a snug fit, I can squeeze into them for about a couple of hours.

Several times and yes they always fit. It's far more economical to buy online nowadays.

I would never buy shoes online. I have tiny feet and I would definitely want to try them on first. Oh wait. I lie. I did buy a pair of crocs thongs online, and whilst they did fit, they aren't very comfortable. I doubt I would have bought them had I been able to try them on first.
I do 90% of my shopping online. I won't buy heels online because every designer makes their heels differently but for trainers and sandals online is the way to go.
No I never have, have no prob finding what I want in the shops and like looking round..

I have bought shoes online and only 2 pairs didn't fit. I buy more clothes than shoes online. I never understand how "standardised" shoe sizes differ amongst brands.

I have a few times.
Not something really one should do!
I knew the brand well, and style so I just bought the same as what I always wear.
Much cheaper.but you REALLY have to know what your doing....
No, I don't buy footwear online. I like to see and feel the quality and try on, I have wide feet so fashion shoes are a bad fit on me and low cut shoes are uncomfortable. I enjoy looking around anyway and I mostly buy sale items. I wear my shoes for many years so don't mind getting good well made and good quality.
I buy most of my shoes online - work to the European sizes and you should be ok ;-) Make sure that you always double check their sizings.

Yes they were great!
First time = disaster & had to return them. That was trouble as the store gave me big hassles. Second time, I had already tried on the shoes in store then waited til they were on SALE on their website to buy them. That worked out to my gleeful benefit. But I will not do it again, too much hassle.
Yes, by 3!
Saves so much time!
With having to pay for parking, after 3hrs, at a Westfield S/C, I don't have the 'relaxation' to try shoes on anymore, always checking my watch!

( I REFUSE to pay, when there was free parking for 34 years! It's just the principle of the situation)
No, I never have bought shoes online, but our youngest daughter, has a few times, & they've mostly fitted. She bought 1 pr, & wore them so much that when they started to wear out, after having them repaired a few times, she bought an identical pair, but new of cause! They're blue flats not 1 you'd see usually, & they went really well with her retro look & the dresses she wears.
