Living in Perth, I have been to Rottnest Island.

I haven't been for many years but always went both before we married, and when we had young kids.

It was a delightful place with no cars and the huge, huge rat type quokkas that used to come in and pinch food.

Situated just 12 kms off Fremantle, it is easy to get to and we used to go by yacht, or there are ferries and/or light planes that go there.

Well,l worth a visit -I have not been to kangaroo Island.

I have been to Rottnest island when I holidayed in WA. The quokkas are so cute. We walked around the island and had a nice day. I do plan to go to kangaroo island at some stage in the future.
No.

Would love too, but well life got in the way.
I've never even been to Australia.
Kangaroo Island would much more interest for me.

It's on the 'bucket list'!
Unfortunately,I have been to neither of these truly iconic islands.I have always wanted to visit both of them, but I live in a totally different region, and travel is something I can no longer do easily! I have to enjoy them via the internet!!
I havent been to Rottnest Island as I live in Sth Aust. I havent been to kangaroo Island either and what I have heard it doesnt interest me and it cost more to go to Kangaroo Island than it does for me to go to Tasmania,
I've been to both, Rottnest in March this year. Lovely boat trip from Perth and then the bus tour around the island. Boy was it hot though! Must say I prefer it over Kangaroo Island.
Live in Perth and have been going to Rottnest Island every year for 7 to 10 days for 20 or so years. Love love love Rottnest. So relaxed when we are there. Walk or ride my bike, swim or lay in the sun. Read or play games or just do nothing. Go to the pub for a drink or a meal and the Quiz night at the Gov's bar. Never want to go home at the end. You'll never know if you never go!
I've never neen there. I don't beleive I'll be going there at any point.

We have taken 2 x 34 night cruises around Australia, Sydney return, but only 1 of the cruises called into Kangaroo Island for the day.also
lLovely place. We just walked around & visited a little market close to the wharf, where we bought small jars of lovely honey!

Both of our cruises called into Fremantle, & we did think of taking a trip over to Rottnest Island, on the 2nd cruise, but it was a windy day, & we thought the water may be ruff, so we didn't do it.

As I live in South Australia I have been to Kangaroo Island a number of times. I have relations living there these days. It is a beautiful place with many natural attractions. Raptor Domain is a great place to visit to see owls, hawks etc. There are great craft shops and galleries too. I recommend Kangaroo Island.
No, but would like to.
