I was once given a surprise party and I found it very exciting.
I got dressed to go to the pictures, walked in the next room and there was a crowd of people.

A little embarrassing at first as I was screaming "are you ready yet" to my partner!

Had a great night however.

No no one has ever given me a surprise party...I think I would like it.

My 70th is looming in the next few years but fear I may have a heart attack if they gave me one then!!!!

I was given a surprise party for my 17th birthday!! My darling dad organised it with the boy I was seeing at gthe the time! This young man's grandma had her birthday the day before mine but we were all celebrating at his parents place on MY special day.Dad had told me to be home for an early dinner as he was doing roast lamb for me which is my v ery favourite m eal.So In we went at 5 pm to be greeted by a house filled with all of my favourite friends!!! I do not know to this day how they managed to keep it such a perfect secret, and it was the most wonderful gift from my dad that I can ever thank him for!
My parents would never be that cruel. They know I hate parties.
My 21st was a surprise party. It was a total shock, and totally awesome.

Well kind of.

My son's babysitter, had a afternoon tea for me...with other mum's.
She went out of her way BIG time.
I loved it so much, and may not have been a party, but it was my party.
I have never been given a surprise party - not sure if I would like it or not.

No, I haven't bit I have organised them for friends who all seemed really happy!
Though I would like someone to throw a surprise party for me, no one has so far! I have thrown surprise parties for others and they were a whole heap of fun!
Have been given two "surprise" parties but unfortunately both were revealed to me prior to the events! I still feigned a surprised look tho, what an actress! Had to really. The first one, I heard my then partner on the phone organising it, bummer, I kept the secret. And the second one, a neighbour asked was I looking forward to it.LOL
My best friend persuaded my mum to organise a surprise party when I was a teenager after I said I didn t want a party. I discovered the invitations and thew 40 kinds of fit ( poor mum) so it was cancelled.
A friend of mine had a surprise 30th organised for him. Unfortunately the biggest surprise was they all forgot to invite him!

No, thank goodness, as I'd be quite mortified, & highly embarrassed!

It's just not me, at all!
No, I've never been given a surprise party, but I've given my husband a surprise 40th dinner & a surprise 50th lunch at the Chinese Bowl at a hotel beach near Bondi. Both times he was very surprised, because 1 of my sisters & the other sisters husband both have their birthdays in the same week as my husband, so he just thought it was for 1 of them! My 70th is in 4 months & 3 weeks, but i don't want a party. I'd rather be seeing flamingos in the wild, or having my birthday on a long cruise! (But i've got of the point ...again!)

I've never given one, but I have been to a couple, they can be fun, especially to the receiver.
