Definitely! The fruit/veg/meat etc are so much fresher and tastier than the supermarket.
You may have to pay a bit more for it but it but it lasts longer and is still competitively priced most of the time.
Absolutely! I love supporting the farmers and going to farmers markets. I bought this pork the other day direct from the farmer. I love the quality and it tastes better than the supermarkets. The extra benefit was it was cheaper!
A few years ago they were definitely more expensive but there are more markets now which means the food is cheaper. Great for us and the farmers as the ones I speak to say it still gives them a profit.
I go to the farmers market every Saturday. The entire experience is great. Some of the people I buy from will save my stuff if I am running late. Much. Better Quality. Much cheaper too.
If you go late evening you can get deep discounts on some items.
We visit farmers markets and buy mainly fruit and veg. I haven't bought any meat a a market, as it is usually incredibly expensive, but I'm sure that it would be delicious and tender. We have a farm near us that has a butchery on it, but haven't been there. There are plenty of farm gate stalls on the road side as well. I often buy berries and apples by the road side from the farmer
