I used to think farts were funny..... but now I am facing a barrage of them every day (some real, some pretend) I have to admit they have lost their charm for me!
In my son's defence, he does have a very good sense of comic timing so usually his farts are quite funny, there's just too many of them at the moment!!
They can be funny depending on who does it, where it's done and when. I myself have cleared a classroom with a stinker when I was a child. That was really funny to me then. When my very little sons do it by accident I find it funny. Worst when you see the shocked look on their faces. When my wife does it, its not.
Probably both. My husband laughs when I rip one and I'll usually laugh if he rips one (unless it's at the table), but if it's lethal, he makes a joke about a family of rats crawling 'up there' and dying, which usually sends us into a fit of laughter.
LOL! That's determination, jonaj. My husband's gran used to say that there is nothing wrong with farting, and 'it's better out than in', so I'm afraid he has little shame when it comes to passing wind.
After an operation I had a few years ago, I was given a leaflet instructing me to pass wind whenever I felt the need and not to hold it in, as this would hinder post-op healing.... since then I've been much more relaxed about farting, doctor's orders you know!
Definitely better out than in :)
