Doesn't work for me, I find I need to clear my head and get to the root cause of my anger. I think it can work for some people who can find it a good channel for pent up frustrations and anger.
I like to drop things.
Lets a lot of tension just go, for some reason.
Hitting is a tad violent for me, unless life or death, then it's full on.
I haven't tried that since I was a child so I can't categorically say. Hitting things when you're angry at people can be pretty scary, my ex left knuckle dents in the fridge door and had bloody knuckles after he got mad at me once. That was unbelievably frightening because I knew it was me he wanted to hit . he did hit me sometimes.

I'm known for chucking stuff when I'm really freaking angry, but I always feel like a twit later so I do try to keep a lid on my anger.
No, but doing exercise helps me. Not that I do it much.
