Vee, you can buy a Hasbro version which allows you to play with random opponents from around the world, who are the same standard as you.
I think you might have to play via facebook however I have an i pad and play on there.
You can also practise by playing with their computer.
I tried it and boy, oh boy, were some people RUDE. Didn't even say hello, just into it and played at lightning speed. Not my cup of tea. I played the double tile version with my family last week. Woohoo. It's good.
We have a couple of Scrabble games, but we never use them. I just play on line, by my self now, trying to make my score bigger than the previous score I had! My husband was never into playing Scrabble.. I have written all my scores down, somewhere, but I canít remember where!
P.S.: As a teenager, my father used to give me a handicap of 30, because I was so hopeless at it! I loved playing scrabble. I'd play the board game on my own now, if I had somewhere to put it, & leave it out, until I'd finished the game. Now online Solitaire had taken over, big time (on my own) until it vanished from my computer. Now I'm spending to much time, answering all these questions on these...Answer Angels etc...says my other 1/2!
