Do your stairs go up or down?
We go down stairs and we go up stairs. But do we know which way the stairs really go. Do your stairs go up or down?

They go up for me - it kinda symbolizes the path I need to choose - the path to a healthy, sweet life.
Or I just want to get away from the underground claustrophobia, which is why I bolt up the stairs like my life depends on it. :P
Er, they stay in the one place waiting for people to go up or down them.
I think stairs go UP, because they are built from the ground UP. Great FUN question...makes me look at stairs differently.
Neither. They leave the choice up to the person facing the stairs to choose his/her destination at the other side of the stairs.
Stairs do both....in answer to your question.
As far as which way do stairs go, it is UP.
Most buildings are at Ground level.
Stairs are for the purpose of climbing to another higher level, than ground.
Usually. My current house would be an exception. It's built on an a slope and from the front door there are stairs leading up to the middle floor or down to the bottom floor.
:) that's fun!
A bit of both! Think of that TV show:
I only saw the 1st version of Upstairs, Downstairs, on the ABC, probably before you were born, Justine! I didn't see the remake because it was on another station.
Both. If you want them to go up, they go up, if you want them to go down, they do that too.
Stairs are clever!
They go BOTH ways! Lol!
I would generally think of them going up.
the ever perplexing question, up or down stairs, what if you have a basement? Then an attic? Escalators move in both directions
