I currently have 2 different drop offs for school in the mornings, and get quite stressed about getting everyone where they need to be on time. I know it's silly to worry about it, but I get worked up if I'm sitting in traffic or we leave late.
Do you worry about getting your kids to school on time?
Yes! I used to have to do 2 school runs also and would need to be super organized to make lunches the night before, so I wouldn't run late! Now my eldest walks herself to school and my youngest 2 are home educated. It's much easier!
My kids don't go to school, which is just as well because we are not morning people. It's no wonder parents stress out about it. There is a school near my home with a scrolling billboard out the front that says "Every day counts. It's not okay to be late!" I suppose they must be having trouble getting through all the curriculum material they have to with a lot of students regularly showing up late.
When my sons were are school needed to be very organised and it was stressful.I found preparing the night before helped.Making the lunches and setting out the relevant uniforms and books and project material that needed to be handed in, including signing the homework diary.Involve
the children in this organisation process , I think it has taught them valuable lessons as they have are now young men and manage their time well.
I don't worry as I try to take them on time. It's a good habit for the kids to develop. If they are late, it's okay. Our school has a lenient approach to kids and as long as there is a genuine reason and it's not happening regularly, kids don't get in trouble.
