We once had a house fire.
It was so upsetting, and on reflection I changed a few things as to how I sleep.
I now wear sleepwear that can be worn outside in case of a fire or need to leave the house very quickly, so I am dressed appropriately, 365 days of the year :)
Eeeek!! I remember being in a ritzy hotel suite years ago and forgetting that we had a butler service for breakfast. Ran to the bathroom in lightning time . . . .then was so rattled I droppped my scrambled eggs. He must have thought I was a nutcase, poor man.
I prefer to sleep with just undies on. However, since having kids and the need to get up several times per night I started wearing clothes to bed. I have one pair of PJs, but I'll generally just wear PJ bottoms and a singlet top. Depends on the weather! As we co-sleep I can't have blankets all up around me so I need to dress warm.
I used to be nude in bed up until early last year when I acquired a house mate. I now don't mind wearing a big mens t shirt type top in summer and wear leggings type garment in the colder months, Find it helps when I leap out of bed and being clothed is warmer to make that first cuppa. The tshirt top keeps me warm when watching TV in bed too. And as others say, good when staying with friends. Feels odd now to be nude.
LOL i often think that too -if I feel sick, and being alone, I have thought -better put something on, in case I die or have to ring for an ambulance....but then I worry they could not get in the house anyway unless I could walk!
