I never used to as I liked the feel of sheets on skin.

However this year I have been so cold that even with an electric blanket, I went and bought more nighties.

I cannot stand pyjamas in bed as the pants annoy me intensely when I turn and toss during the night as they sort of get tangled.

So I now sleep with a nightie.

I hate sleeping in the nude unless it is really, really hot.

I really don't wear any special items of clothing in preparation for sleep. I just ensure that whatever I'm wearing won't make me feel hot and miserable throughout the night.
I wear a big comfy tee shirt to bed,and will wear my favourites until they literally wear out!!!
I like to sleep clothed for sure. I dont like too much clothes though, makes me uncomfortable.

We once had a house fire.
It was so upsetting, and on reflection I changed a few things as to how I sleep.
I now wear sleepwear that can be worn outside in case of a fire or need to leave the house very quickly, so I am dressed appropriately, 365 days of the year :)
I wear a nightie

Don';t wear anything in bed - feel more comfortable that way and don't get tangled up in clothing as I toss and turn a lot when I sleep.
I came into this world naked and I actually get bruised from the seams of clothes in bed. Did remember to grab a Tshirt and trackies when the house was on fire though. LOL

Eeeek!! I remember being in a ritzy hotel suite years ago and forgetting that we had a butler service for breakfast. Ran to the bathroom in lightning time . . . .then was so rattled I droppped my scrambled eggs. He must have thought I was a nutcase, poor man.

Hope the scrambled eggs didn't drop on anything too delicate and were they hot?
by norma
Luckily, they were not too hot . . . I was shaken, not stirred ;-))

Thank God for small mercies!

Depends.. Mostly nightie it is
I wear a thermal undershirt and bottoms.
I wear lots of pyjamas, but not in bed.
I wear pyjamas - long in winter and shorts in summer. Definitely way too cold in winter to be in the nip!

Nighties yes, PJs yes ! And pretty nice ones too:)
Wow, I didn't realise so many people wore PJ's. I only where them after I get up in the morning, or if I shower at like 5pm, but am having a lazy evening in. (Or when staying at someone else's house)
I prefer to sleep with just undies on. However, since having kids and the need to get up several times per night I started wearing clothes to bed. I have one pair of PJs, but I'll generally just wear PJ bottoms and a singlet top. Depends on the weather! As we co-sleep I can't have blankets all up around me so I need to dress warm.
I used to be nude in bed up until early last year when I acquired a house mate. I now don't mind wearing a big mens t shirt type top in summer and wear leggings type garment in the colder months, Find it helps when I leap out of bed and being clothed is warmer to make that first cuppa. The tshirt top keeps me warm when watching TV in bed too. And as others say, good when staying with friends. Feels odd now to be nude.
Pjamas or loose tracksuit pants and tshirt. Loose shorts and tshirt in summer.
I'm uncomfortable naked.
I go to bed in a t-shirt and a pair of socks, all weathers, practically no exceptions.
When staying at an Hotel, always wear PJ's!
Similar thinking to 'fresh undies' everyday in case you get hit by a bus!

If I 'fell off the twig' during the night, at least the Police Medical Examiner would find a clothed body!
Gotta stop watching all those crime shows on the telly! Lol!
LOL i often think that too -if I feel sick, and being alone, I have thought -better put something on, in case I die or have to ring for an ambulance....but then I worry they could not get in the house anyway unless I could walk!
