A committee in the UK has said that there are not enough women in broadcasting and that broadcasters need "to make a greater effort to reflect their audiences".
Do you think there are enough women in broadcasting? Do you think it matters?

I think it does matter. There should be more, and preferably not young attractive ones either, just ordinary everyday women. And there should be more women in senior positions within broadcasting organisations, not just the faces on the programmes.
I can't say I notice a lack of women broadcasting. There are plenty of female presenters on the news and other programmes.
Thats something I have never noticed. When you start doing these sorts of things though you step on a slippery slope that can lead to other issues.

Like women being equally represented as public figures? I'm not seeing that as problematic.

I am not sure about this. It does not matter though if they are interviewing and selecting the right candidate - male or female.

There's definitely not enough women in broadcasting. Yes it matters! Why should men hold all the top jobs in broadcasting? Why shouldn't I be able to see someone the same sex as me reading my news?
I always thought there are plenty of women in Australian broadcasting.

I guess because I'm an ABC,SBS,NITV watcher for 95% of the time, I think there are a lot of women presenters, and very good ones at that,of many different backgrounds
Sadly, there seems to be an age limit in most cases.

We need more women on the radio
