Finy....I too want to eat when not hungry.
It's because of the 'comfort'.
I'm looking at replacing that comfort, and it will take a great deal of hard work...well worth it.Like it has to happen for me. Soooon :/
I try to eat the standard three meals a day at certain times but had started the bad habit of snacking in etween times. Am trying to lose weight so am being pretty rigid now with NO eating between meals! 😩
I try to eat with the family so meals are aimed for breakfast, lunch and dinner at normal times but its not rigid as sometimes we're out and it might be earlier or later than normal. The aim is 3 meals a day but if it works out a bit differently I just go with that.
I have problems regulating my blood sugar levels, so have to eat at regular and fairly frequent intervals. Makes it difficult when we go somewhere and find the restaurant is closed, as happened to me yesterday lunchtime! The upside is that I am rarely hungry or snacking when I shouldn't be.
I tend to eat when I'm hungry, but would prefer to be more regulated. I'm very busy at the moment so, unfortunately, it's difficult to be perfectly punctual with meals, every day. Regardless who cooks the evening meal, though (hubby, my daughter or me), we always try to have that around 6pm, as we prefer not eating too late at night.
I tend really to eat when i'm hungry whenever i'm home. However at work there are assigned eating times with no opportunity to eat at other times in between if I get hungry. So at work I have to eat at those assigned times.
I may seem boring,but I only tend to eat when I am hungry.I always eat things which I really enjoy,and I never get to the over-full bloated feeling which I still can remember from when I was much younger.I hated that awful uncomfortable feeling then.and cannot see the point of subjecting myself to it ever again!!!
I eat at certain times. That has trained my hunger response and I do get hungry at that specific time. It's good for health this way. However the trouble is if I am out on a particular day and do not get to eat at that specific time, I end up with acidity and headache
As I now live alone there is no meal "regime" in my home. I only eat when I feel like it, usually round about 1.p.m. and then round about 6-7.p.m. When I have overnight guests, or friends to dinner, there is more of a "regime" with meals, more to suit them than myself.
