I have the albums still however I have not printed out a photo since I moved back to the City almost 3 years ago now.
I could not plug in my printer for photos so just have not bothered.
It is a real shame that I think this practice seems to be disappearing making way for modern technology.
It is lovely to look back over old albums and quite different to look at a phone or computer.
However, on saying that, I have about 30 albums sitting in my garage and when I am gone, I guess no one will be interested in these, and I hate to think where they will end up! I also have my parents albums which are classic!
Being a mad keen photographer,I HAVE to have printed photos which can be enjoyed without turning a computer on!!! Very few are of human beings though,as I am into macro and nature shots,as well as photos of my dogs! I used to make all of my own greeting cards and my photos were often part of these projects! There are some really exquisite photo albums available these days, and they look stunning on the book shelves amongst my old book treasures. It is lovely to take the time to look through them
No I keep all of them on the computer hence, when all my old friends come around for tea or get-togethers, they don't want to let me brag and show them all the kids and grandkids photos because they all have to line up and squint at the lap top and they can't be bothered.
I should just print them and either put them in an album or pass them around the room. Don't know why I always believe my kids know best. They just don't.
Digital photos are very convenient, particularly for sharing. Still print some out though as like to have some on the wall (sometimes laminated, sometimes in a frame) because it's happiness inducing to have good moments captured to re-enjoy!
All my photos uses to go into albums. All have the dates on their spines. Then my laptop came along & the photos are now in the computer, somewhere, or on Sim cards. When 1 card fills up, I just go out & buy another 1. The 2Nd last card I bought was $50! The last one, of the same card) was only $20! So some things do actually come down in price, don't they?!
