Before digital cameras and mobiles were around, we had to have our photos printed.

They were often then put into albums so we had hard copies of whatever we chose.

Do you still print out any of the photos you take on your digital camera or your phone camera?

Do you put them in albums?

I got 30 photos printed out just today! I have a whole wall of photos in my house and add to it about once a quarter. I love looking at photos, it brings back the memory of the moment in an instant. I try to keep photo albums but I'm never organized enough. I print from home when I have ink in my printer or I go to a self print Kodak kiosk. I love physical photos as even though I have 1000's of digital images it's the physical ones I actually look at and cherish.
I only print out the ones I want to frame and give as gifts. That is one of the best things about digital photography you minimise wastage, it is more cost effective and you don't have to print out the good, the bad and the ugly.
I keep my album on line now and it is good because the photos don't deteriorate with age.
So do I
Yes. I keep a scrapbook of things I do with the kids and print out photos to stick in it along with things like theatre tickets and drawings they did. Every now and then I get a photo framed to put on the wall and give as a gift but I don't get as many printed as I used to because it's expensive.
Yes, I love the idea of photo albums and I love having the print copies as I know it's permanent (compared to the digital prints that may be wiped out at a moment's notice!).
I regularly (once a month) go and get images printed. i like having images in frames around the house and i'm currently filling a photograph album with photohraphs of butterflies photographed in my garden
While I would absolutely love to print out heaps more photos, the price is prohibitive. Well, perhaps I'm too tight and simply want to save my money where I can!

Photos are great for sending to (especially older) relatives.
You know you can print photos for like 10c each, right- way cheaper than it used to be: $14 for 30 pics (including film and development costs)
Do you know how many Bunnings snags I could buy with that sort of money? 7.
I used to print out my own but since moving to the city I have not even connected the printer.

I rarely now get any of my photos printed as I find I have so many, I would not know what to do with them.

I have a huge box full of photo albums and don't look at them so think there is no use printing them out anymore.

A shame as I used to do beautiful albums with writing in silver ink!

If it really is a fantastic photo, that each time I pass it on the desk... it makes me smile....then yep! :)
I like nice framed photo's, also nice for family and friends to see.
I still print out my photos. I used to put them in albums, but they too up too much room, so now I just leave them in the envelope they come in.

I don't print as many photos as I used to when using film. However, at least the ones that I do print are of good quality. I haven't made a photo album for awhile but I think that's just because I have a lot less free time now that I have 2 young kids.
Yes I still like to have hard copies of photos as well as digital for some reason....guess it is a generational thing

No I don't. Only if I have to put in a frame or gift somebody, then I print the pictures
Yes, I still print photos, but only the good ones that are going to be made into birthday/valentines/Christmas/scrapbook gifts, or if they are going up on my dream board. Sometimes, my sister and I print them as wallet-sized photos and mail them to family members too, so that they can carry them around. I save the albums for the older, faded and sepia photographs for nostalgia.
Not as regularly as I used to. Last year I printed a photo book around Christmas time and found it a lovely way to display them. I plan to make it an annual thing to go over my photos for the year and create a photo book of memories.

I planned to do an album a year ( just the make a photo book type) but so far I've only done one. My old albums are falling apart and fading and take up a lot of space, but what to do ? I made a scapbooked album (real photos) for my daughters of their life to 21. Now I mostly procrastinate.

Yes, I find I spend more time procrastinating then actually making photo albums - especially now that there are so many more pictures to look through. Back in the "old days" of film cameras, I'd only take one photo of anything and get about 24 printed in one go, now there are literally hundreds to trawl through when looking for the perfect ones to fill an album with!

I sure do as well. Nicer to look at prints than TINY frames on smart phones or cameras. Easier to show family and friends photos and they are better memories. It is not too bad looking at the digital pictures on a big TV screen. You have no record if you loose your smart phone or camera. It is very cheap to have photos printed these days anyway and you can edit or delete them how you wish too.
Vety seldom. We have made a slow start on copying our photo albumd and throwing many of them out. Will keep my wedding album and rrcords of my kids and grandkids. We now make photostories on dvd and compile professionally printed photobooks.

Yes of course,so I can be reminded of my favorite things/family.

I gave mum a digital photo frame loaded with pics of the grand kids - she loves it and has the slide show on rotation in her lounge room all day. It's a bit like printing them out but with non stop variety. Great question.

I like having hard copies of my favourite photos, so I usually print these ones up. I don't print nearly as many as I did before the digital age became so widespread. When my daughter was very young I always seemed to be down at the photo shop printing up something!
As a professional photographer I still have to print stuff out for clients, and have my own work on my wall (although it's been awhile since I printed any new stuff). Most of my stuff is digital though and most of my sales are still in digital format.
I dont but I really miss that. Its nice to flip through a photo album
by Gia
Yes I print them out
No, no I don't
not so far but I am looking to start scrap booking
No, & no.
It going 'somewhere' that I want photos of, I use disposable cameras. They're excellent for the price.
NO, not for many years now! Not since camera film, became a thing of the past! I still have all my old photo albums though. Some time, I must sort out the 1,000's of photos I have on my sim cards & on my laptop. The Apple shop staff have shown me how to do it, but by the time I get home, I've forgotten. Even writing down notes in the Apple shop hasn't helped!
