Absolutely. I can hop on a bus so no worries about parking, then stroll around the shops. I find it exhausting but some things, like shoes, are best tried on before buying I find, and other things, like impromptu presents would never be bought unless they caught my eye in the shop!
I do a lot of shopping online but sometimes there is just no substitute for a trip into town. And it's fun because it's bustling and busy without feeling too manic like bigger cities can sometimes.
Nowadays, once in a blue Moon!
Have huge Westfield S/C three minutes'away! Why bother having to hassle going to the city?
Gone are the days' of my childhood when one dressed to go 'into town'.
Don't know if that was such a bad thing to do, the way some females 'dress' currently!
No, we hardly ever go into city now, & when we do, it's only for the art galleries. If we're going from 1 station to another on foot, through the Pitt St Mall, we'll call into the Nespresso shop & have a small 'free' coffee.
About 2 weeks ago, I ventured into Westfield's, I think it is, just off the Pitt St Mall to the Swatch shop, not to shop, just to get 10 free battery replacements for my Swatch watches. Then I came home! Didn't even bother having my free coffee!
