My father and sister smoke, and my mother used to. I don't and have never tried a cigarette. They are disgusting and make me sick to my stomach. I hate them. I once smoked tobacco from an argileh though. That wasn't too bad, the flavour was nice, but it is not something I have done since.
I smoked for about 30 years but gave it up some time ago. I did not have trouble stopping as was very worried about what it would do to my health.
I am now worse than a non smoker as can smell a smoker a mile off, and it really is disgusting!
NO, I've never smoked. It's disgusting, & such a waste of money, which I'd rather spend of my dress collection! I'm in my late 60's now, & once when I was 16 or 17, we had my now husband's sister in the car, with us, & he asked me to light her up a cigarette. I coughed & splatted, couldn't do it, & have tried again. I remember my father & HIS sister spoking. He died of cancer at age 68, & she died 9 months later of noise cancer, because she didn't want treatment for it. My husband smoked, but stopped when his younger brother died from cancer. He's hated the smoke smell ever since, & even mentions it to smokers we have to walk pass on the footpath! He even had a punch up on a cruise ship once, with a man who was smoking, that we had to keep walking past around the deck. The man threaten to throw my husband overboard! No one was hurt! The Captain came out of a side door, & had words with the smoker!
