I always wonder where the dirt in a fully enclosed garage comes from!
I do not do it regularly but only do it when it really gets on my nerves and there is almost weeds growing in the leaves and dirt! They seem to accumulate under the car and when they start spreading is when I usually clean - this is probably only every six months or so.
No, I do not clean it regularly, but I possibly should!
Oh my goodness NO! I'm no fan of housework and as far as I'm concerned the garage is just an outdoor space. I grew up n the country where Grandad had a half dozen sheds and garages on the property and every last one of them had a dirt floor. That's the model I grew up with and that's the one I'm sticking with.
We just have a double carport, so no walls, just a roof over the driveway. Obviously, the driveway doesn't get vacuumed, but we do use the blower every time we mow the lawns. I remember my Dad used to do it about once a year in the Spring. He would put the stuff from the garage out on the lawn and sweep it out.
That's a great idea, Finy. We have to do that with our shed. We have some furniture we like to sell, so need to get it out to see what we have. We just had a Hard Rubbish at our place, so got rid of the real junk. I am a big fan of de-cluttering, so we need to make some room. We inherited some furniture when hubby's parents died last year, so now we have to get rid of it, even though we are quite attached to it.
I'm very much a clean freak when it comes to my Carport...I have a concrete floor, and make sure it is up to par all the time.
I like to also give it a good hose out, and use a bit of bleach here and there too.
The house we've lived in since '79, has never had a carport or garage. When we lived in my parents house while they were living o/s for a while, we didn't ever vacuum the garage. The garage was a long way from the front door of the house, so a long way to carry a (back in those days,) heavy vacuum cleaner!
