Are you a really good listener or are you busy thinking up what you want to say when the other person finishes whatever they are going on about? What was that again? BLAH, BLAH, BLAH

I probably do not.

I live alone and find that I cannot handle people for more than about 3 hours -then my brain seems to go into overload.

I do interrupt which means I am thinking while someone is talking, and I do that since I have got older, because if I dont blurt out what I am thinking, it is "gone" by the time the other person has finished speaking.

All of which of course means I do NOT listen properly.

I would like to think that I am a good listener, but I would be lying if I said that I never think about what I am going to say next before the other person has finished. I think we are all guilty of that.
I'm a good listener most of the time.
I've been told I'm a good listener, I really don't think it has to do with listening really, I think it has to do with caring and respecting the person talking. Those that say I am a good listener are those I care about and thus I care about what they are saying, and those I respect to much to ignore them or interrupt them when they talk, I think it's really that simple.
Honestly, I don't listen as much as I should. I often just hear people because I'm distracted. I do try to pay attention though...most of the time.
