I remember my mum would always unwrap her Christmas presents very carefully as to not rip the paper so she could re-use it at another time.

Do you re-use Christmas giftwrap or just throw it away?

No, I don't reuse wrapping. But, if I use gift bags, I will reuse those. I think it's a great idea - save money and reduce waste.

Great question!

Yes, I confess I do! My children laugh at me for being so frugal but large pieces are fine to trim and save for wrapping something smaller the following year. I also save ribbons and decorations from gifts to re-use. Oh...and I've also been known to cut up old Christmas cards to make gift tags. I'm the queen of frugal!
Unfortunately most of our Christmas giftwrap goes straight to the recycler. Most Christmas wrapping is too flimsy to re-use. However if I do receive a nice ribbon or really good quality wrapping paper I will definitely re-use it.
The kids tend to damage it to the point that you couldn't really re-wrap presents with it, but it's still good for other things like craft projects.
My mum used to do exactly the same! Nowadays, wrapping paper seems flimsier and rips more easily, so I don't try to re-use it for wrapping but if there's a nice piece it will be kept for craft purposes. I always re-use Christmas cards for something or other as well - decorations, gift tags, Christmas games, made into boxes, shopping lists....
Depends on if I have any left over from last year!
We recycle it in other ways, the kids might do craft with it or even make wrap out of kids artwork to begin with. I wouldn't have the room to store it for another year!

I never re-use old Christmas wrappings. We always get fresh ones each year.
Sadly no I don't, I try not to use paper, and use a plain white or red gift bag....that can be used again.
Bless your Mum :) that's such a nice idea to reuse again.
used to keep it and reuse for presents, but nowadays it is so cheap to buy in a roll why bother. in saying that if a piece of wrapping paper is big enough they do make excellent draw liners.

I try to reuse it for the following year, but if that's not possible ( because it's too ripped), I'll use it in my craft projects or for card-making.
