I have to say that since cutting down on sugar, I seem to be eating more cream!
The actual sugar content is not so high and yes, I know there is fat in there but in my mind cream is a natural product and therefore better than refined sugar.
Love cream on most things e.g. strawberries and blueberries, as well as a low fat cake I made for visitors!
Yes, cream is luscious....
I don't eat a lot of sweet foods, so I would have to say no. If I do have dessert, I prefer cream to ice cream. I don't really like ice cream much. I like cream very much, but don't eat a lot of cakes, biscuits or sweets. If I did, it would be cream for sure.
I have cream VERY rarely as I have had so many problems due to allergies that it just is not worth becoming sick simply because I feel like having this delicious element!! I can remember fighting for the cream on the top of the bottle of milk before cartons came in!!! Oh!!! how scrumptious that morsel was!!! Bottled milk was delivered each day back then, and of course we had a bottle of milk at school each morning too!! Then as a young adult I discovered that Dairy products along with eggs and seafood were among the many food items which I am allergic to, so I changed my diet drastically! I do not miss it at all.
These days I rarely put fresh cream on my food. I love fresh cream. It improves and dresses up so many foods whether it be a slice of apple cake or a bowl of pumpkin soup. It lifts food to the next level of yumminess. However, I need to limit the fat in my diet so I rarely buy cream.
No, I do have a carton of cream in the fridge, but I only use it, if a main recipe calls for it, or a little bit on my homemade breakfast pancakes, when I make them occasionally. I didn't even have cream or ice-cream in my iced coffee 2 days ago. It was the 1st iced coffee I'd bought in about 2 years.
