I find jumpers keep me warmer so I generally wear them.

However it is far easier to take off a cardigan if you get hot or have flushes.

I have one lovely warm llama hand knitted cardigan that i sometimes wear when I walk the dogs early in the morning, but a lot of the other times I do wear jumpers as I feel the cold so badly.

Jumpers. I think they sit better on me.

I'm not sure if this is a Canadian term or not, but I'm addicted to hoodies, which are zip-up sweaters with a hood. I wear them all winter long.
A jumper is the word used by Australian and English (for the Orange one in the pic.) :)

For a long time I've only worn things that zip or button up the front so I can breastfeed. That's more often hoodies than cardigans.

I wear both, but my jumpers are very lightweight.I think that with the tropical days usually becoming rather warm by afternoon, cardigans seem to be more practical for me at the moment.I am wearing a lovely soft angora one at the moment!!
Jumpers are better for outside when it is cold because otherwise you just button your cardigan to keep the cold out and then it becomes a jumper with buttons!
I like to wear both but not at the same time

I often wear jumpers at home but cardigans when I go out...for some reason, feel cardies are more formal!

I like cardigan....and 20 years ago, I bought one in dark blue velvet and one in purple...still wear them every single day......at home.
Don't wear either. Dislike both. My arms don't get cold, so any type I wear is sleeveless.

Have beautiful Australian Wool sleeveless vests, of varying colours, to wear as required. They look 'smart', & keep my 'trunk'warm as advised to do so by my GP decades' ago!

Daytime, I do like wearing sleeveless 'puffer' jackets, which are warm, & lightweight.
If weather cold, going out at night, wear above woollen vest, plus jacket.
I wear either/or, usually with a long sleeved t-shirt, then I can peel off layers as necessary. I find going in and out of shopping centres the temperature varies so much you are either sweating bullets or chilled to the marrow, so it is good to have a couple of layers you can peel off or put on!
I like jumpers as they ate warmer and fall better. These days there is a great variety to choosr from and they can be quite fashionable.
I used to wear a long sleeve shirt, with a jumper,
jeans or slacks in winter, but now as I only wear dresses summer & winter, in Sydney, during winter, I wear a cardigan (& jacket if itís cold enough,) & a cardigan with either jacket/coat in Melbourne, during winter.
Cardigans, wear them all the time , easy to take off .
