Winter. I was just thinking how nice it was that it is finally cool enough today to wear my new shrug. :) I live in Queensland, where we have some pretty epic summers (including several days of 40 plus degrees celsius this year). I prefer winter. You can always put more clothes on. You can only take so many off.
Jennifer, I am in WA where we have had about 3 weeks of over 34 degrees! Yesterday was our first day under 30 probably in months.
Here it is not usually humid when hot, so if it is 36 or 40 doesnt make a lot of difference, and I am now used to it and like it better than cold that gets in your bones.
We usually get plenty days of 35 or so in Summer, this is just the first time I've experienced temperatures in the 40s. It's horrible because you can't really do anything much. It often gets really humid in QLD too. At least during our last heat wave it was a dry heat.
Summer in Sydney is pretty mild, so I prefer summer. We get a few really hot nights where the portable air conditioner comes out, but other than that, it's really tolerable. Winter is nice if you're rugged up inside, but I like the outdoors and the rain doesn't interest me very much.
Winter, but that's probably because I used to live in far North Queensland where winter just doesn't exist. It's been lovely getting to snuggle under blankets, wear gloves and boots, and enjoy hot drinks.
