I eat a lot of vegetables, particularly in Winter...try to eat more salads in Summer but they need to be interesting, can't stand great chucks of watery tasteless tomato, they have to be home grown or the gourmet type, not mad on tomatoes, love beetroot, sprouts, some lettuce, carrot, onion, mushies etc...
It depends on the meal. For instance, I would want a vege dish with a Chinese meal (mmmmmmmmmmmmm, can smell one in my slow cooker right now), but salad with a steak. I would avoid salads like the plague in some countries. Might even catch the plague if not careful about this.
When I'm cooking at home I'll almost always make a salad to accompany the main meal. Raw food is so healthy, and while I couldn't just have a raw diet I try to have as many fresh raw vegies as possible.
I enjoy both.Even in winter I will enjoy salad, and in summer, cooked vegies,It all depends on the mood I am in!! And of course, when I cook fresh fish with home made chips,I simply adore to also have salad on the plate,so it is even possible to mix both within one meal!!! As long as the ingredients are fresh and good quality,I am easy to please!
That depends on what season it is. In summer we have loads of salad things growing in the garden, in winter it's not so easy down here in Antarctica (sometimes known as Tasmania) so we spend lots more money on veg in winter.
I love your veg photo you've used, Jonaj. Is 'coked' veg supposed to be 'cooked' or something else I don't know about. I wouldn't mind losing a couple of kilos! Can salads over cooked veggies, 'make' 1 loose weight?
Overall, I eat more salad. However, I do like cooked vegies sometimes, especially in winter. I eat meat but sometimes would be quite happy to eat a pile of roasted or stir fried vegies. Freshly picked vegies from the garden taste great.
I would rather have salads with my meals at home, but my husband likes his cooked veggies, & I'm no wiz at making different salads. I guess it's time I started looking up salad recipes, as I do look up a new main recipe every night.
