I would like nothing more than to put cream AND ice cream on my strawberries but at the risk of sounding like a "broken record", I cannot eat the sugar that is in ice cream.

I think if I have to chose, and it IS what I often do, I have cream on my strawberries which I cut in half or quarter, and soak in the cream for a while before eating.

Although cream has sugar, it is more a natural product and less sugar than ice cream, so I still eat cream sometimes....love my strawberries and cream.

Strawberries and cream go together so well. Why would I choose any other combination? I have to admit that I haven't been putting anything on my strawberries for years now. If I am the only one eating the strawberries, it is rather a waste to whip up cream just for me. What to do with the rest of the cream ? I love strawberries and cream, and would have it if the cream was available, possibly left over from something else.
I don't whip it Lluxi! just liquid - I use a long life one that is only about $1.20 and a small pack, and it keeps for about 10 days....

I like whipped cream

I adore strawberries and I adore them with cream. Mostly I just eat the strawberries "as is" but a couple of times a year I have scads of cream on them. Mmmmmm. Strawberries are okay for diabetics and cream is a good fat . . . . I am not a great ice cream lover. Thank heaven.

Strawberries are tasteless now.
If I ever find the right ones, then Ice Cream every time.
Cream is a little sickly for me, but I do like it at times on things that are different, just a tad of course.
Well . ... I did once eat a whole litre of honey and macadamia crunch ice cream . . . I was on steroids at the time . . . my nose bled and bled. Hahahahahahahaha.

Can I have the ice cream and leave the strawberries? I like strawberry flavoured things but not strawberries themselves. I know, I'm strange.
Icecream or nothing - I'm not big on cream, especially if it's that 'fake' stuff in a can!
We only eat our cutup strawberries on our breakfast cereal. I'd never thought of having them with cream or ice-cream!
by Miro
Both please. I do eat strawberries on my cereal as well but find unless they are home grown they tend to be hard and I also quarter them when adding to fruit salad. Strange thing is that when I'm eating home made fruit salad, I have neither cream nor ice cream on it.
I love the thought of both cream and ice cream with strawberries, decadent. I would have whichever we have on hand at the time. Love strawberries dipped in a bit of melted chocolate too. Yum.
I wouldn't put either on my strawberries unless cheesecake or pavlova was involved. I'd much rather eat the strawberries on their own.
I prefer strawberries with cream
