Yes, we love them, especially in the warmer weather. Sometimes we go to our favourite beach and have a BBQ too. I always take cold drinks in the cooler bag and another bag full of all our snacks. If we're not doing a BBQ I find sandwiches and finger food is best. Also, I take fruit with a high water content, like grapes, to make sure the kids stay hydrated.
I used to when I had young children.
We often went on picnics as they were very fashionable in those days.
We cooked, took our little picnic baskets and blankets and headed of for them thar hills, generally with friends, and near water/rivers.
Often we had a barbecue and took salads and drinks etc.
What fun they were!
